What
is issue number and start date?
United States credit card holders will usually not have an issue number
or start date on a credit card. U.S. card holders will simply leave
those fields blank.
Other, non U.S.,may card holders may be required to complete those
fields asking for that information in order to execute a transaction.
An issue number, not widely used in the U.S., is a number starting at
"1". It is used to denote or keep track of multiple cards that are
issued to a single person or business by a credit card company.
The start date is the date the customer received the card for use.
