Domains
Parked domains allow unused domain names to point to a different domain.
For example if I own two domain names, mysite.com & mywebsite.com,
but have built a site around mysite.com, I could choose to park
mywebsite.com.
I could park and configure mywebsite.com to point to mysite.com. So if
someone enters mywebsite.com they will land on mysite.com.
The practice of parking domains is common to direct traffic to a target
site from other domain names. If I chose to do so, I could purchase a
number of domain names and park them with each of them pointing to one
specific landing domain to increase my chances of visitors finding my
page.
